2024 ATBC Advocacy Trip to Washington

Under the leadership of Chairman Emre Erkoc, ATBC board members and the government affairs committee paid a visit to our congressional leaders in DC. The delegation visited the offices of congressmen Randy Weber, Troy Nehls, and Al Green, as well as congresswomen Sheila Jackson Lee and Lezlie Fletcher, along with Senators Ted Cruz and Cornyn. Additionally, the delegation attended the Turkish American Advocacy Reception hosted by the National Council on Civil Advocacy.

During these meetings, Chairman Erkoc briefed our elected officials on how the ATBC business community contributes to the economic development of the Houston area. He emphasized ATBC's commitment to advocating for free enterprise, economic competitiveness, and growth to benefit all Houstonians, from small businesses to international companies. Furthermore, ATBC regularly hosts events covering various topics of interest to its members, providing opportunities for networking and staying informed about current business challenges.

As part of the visit, Congressman Randy Weber's office provided the delegation with a one-hour Capitol tour and shared insights from Congress.
