ATBC & Houston–Istanbul Youth Sports Festival

The Annual 4-Day Youth Sports Festival, proudly sponsored by the American Turkic Business Council and Houston–Istanbul Sister City, was a tremendous success this year.

ATBC President Orhan Osman and Houston Sister Cities Association President James Post also joined a live discussion on FOX26 to promote the festival, highlighting the importance of bringing youth together through the language of sports and helping them appreciate the opportunities they have as citizens of this great nation as we celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary.

The opening ceremony featured distinguished guests including Houston City Council At-Large Julian Ramirez, Houston Sister Cities Association President James Post, former NBA player Enes Freedom, and many other honored attendees.

From soccer to basketball, volleyball to table tennis, chess to cooking competitions, and even arm wrestling, this year’s festival reached a record-breaking 1,630 registrations.

Athletes, families, and children came together for three unforgettable days, enjoying the unifying power of sports while celebrating this year’s theme, America’s 250th Anniversary.

We extend our sincere thanks to our incredible hosts Raindrop Foundation, Horizon Leadership Academy, and Bright Choice Foundation for opening their facilities and making this event possible.

Medals were proudly presented to the winning athletes by NBA star Enes Freedom.

We look forward to many more inspiring events that bring our community together.
